Why create email newsletters?
Traditional marketing methods include calling customers on the phone, taking out Yellow Pages ads, direct mail campaigns, billboards and TV commercials. All these marketing programs are time-tested methods for reaching out to your customers, but keeping them informed through email newsletter campaigns is more immediate and less expensive. To get started all you need is your customer email lists and a regular Internet connection. You can send professional looking HTML based email and send newsletters to each person individually. The Java Contactor can personalize the email to each recipient with a greeting such as "Dear Mike" or "Dear mcoble" by prepending the customer first name (if available) or the customer email (before the @ symbol). Compare this with using a regular email program where you bcc everyone on the list and there is no personalized greeting. More advanced businesses can send email campaigns right from an ISP host using the UNIX version of the Java Contactor.
